I am in God's Hands

My recent CT revealed an increase of my liver lesions of approximately 1-2 mm and that the cancer has spread to my hip bone. I start radiation therapy to my hip tomorrow. I will receive 10 consecutive treatments. Both my oncologist and radiologist are confident that the radiation therapy will be successful.  When I finish the radiation we will consider different chemotherapy medicine to treat my pancreatic cancer. I am not going to have the chemotherapy treatment during radiation therapy because of the toxicity - too  much for my body. I appreciate everybody's continued prayers and loving support for me and my girls. We are truly grateful to have so many caring friends in our lives.
This is a difficult time for my family. I must trust God with all my heart. I tell my girls to trust God -  He has a plan and it is not for us to question. We must have faith.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and He shall direct your paths."
(Proverbs 3.5-6)

  1. Wilda, I am having a heck of a time figuring out this Facebook thing! But, I follow your blog, and I am inspired by your courage and faith. I'd love to see you and give you a big hug, but you're always at work! Do I have to go back to work (again!) just to see you once in a while? Jim Mahoney

  2. Sorry to hear things took a wrong turn. I hope the radiation has done the job. Ann Evensen
